Tottenham Hotspur keeping tabs on Norwich City starlet

Tottenham Hotspur will step up their interest in Norwich City defender Max Aarons in the summer.

The Premier League are believed to be keeping tabs on the highly-rated 19-year-old, according to The Mirror.

Spurs haven’t signed anyone in the past two transfer windows. The last signing they made was on 31st January 2018 when Lucas Moura made the move to London from PSG.

That looks to change this summer with Mauricio Pochettino looking to bring some exciting young talent to the club in preparation for their campaign in their new stadium. Hull City’s Jarrod Bowen and Leeds United’s Jack Clarke are two other Championship stars who have been linked with a move there as well recently.

Aarons has been the subject of plenty of interest from the top flight this season and has been an integral part of Norwich’s rise to the top of the Championship.

The Hammersmith-born right-back has played 27 games in all competitions for the Canaries in this campaign and has been one of Daniel Farke’s standout players.

He started his career at Luton Town and rose through the youth ranks at Kenilworth Road as a youngster. However, he left the Hatters in 2016 to join Norwich and made his first-team debut for the East Anglian outfit in an ELF Cup fixture against Stevenage in August last year.

Farke’s side tied Aarons down on a contract until 2023 in October but that hasn’t stopped this Spurs speculation. It looks likely that Aarons will be playing in the Premier League in the next campaign with either Norwich or Tottenham.
